Bakers Chocolate - Malty - Smooth

One of the less spoken-about coffee exporters in Central America, Nicaragua's coffee production has seen a rise in quality over the last few years.

This coffee is part of the Unión de Cooperativas Agropecuarias de San Juan del Río Coco (UCA), which works with farmers in the San Juan de Rio Coco province, an area that shares a border with Honduras.

The UCA has 420 members (80 women), providing professional services to its members, helping with small business lending, marketing and technical assistance.

The coffee is certified organic and fair-trade, and with its slightly lower altitude paired with high-quality plant varieties, it all works together to create a very approachable flavor profile.

With low acidity, a full body and that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ note you often find in Nicaraguan beans, the coffee will work great as an espresso or filter coffee, and should hold up to drink additions quite well.
