Peru is one of the coffee world's leaders in organic farming practices, with around 25% of the country's coffee farms’ holding official certifications.

Our Peruvian coffee was grown in the Rodríguez de Mendoza province, found in the Amazonas region that borders Ecuador.

It is organic and fair-trade certified and works with the Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros de la Cuenca del Rio Marañón (APROCCURMA), a cooperative that helps to support women growers who rely on coffee production to support their families.

APROCCURMA provides education and logistical infrastructure to its members, which in turn, helps raise the quality of the coffee we receive and give farmers a sustainable income.

The coffee plants share the land with banana, corn and bean crops and are shade grown. We put this in the ‘easy drinker’ category, as Peruvian coffee offers an incredibly consistent profile in the cup, with a clean, balanced and approachable range of flavours that make a delightful cup of coffee that you can brew on any coffee maker
